On the South Van Ness side of building 1550, eight aluminum panels are situated along thesidewalk. The panels, both decorative and functional, depict Bay Area wind patterns throughlaser cut arrows, while the panels themselves mitigate wind gusts for passer-byers. As each panelshowcases varied wind mappings, the occasional angular cut out is found on the panel’s side.These openings become framing devices, creating newsightlines within the urban landscape.
